No it's not an either or situation - there are other options, I just think buying them out is cleaner. This is clearly a core technology platform for PAR going forward - time release / thin film - and IGXT offers them the easiest path forward to achieve that in-house. You just have to manage it properly.

Just like I believe PAR agreed to additional projects with IGXT, only after they secured more favorable royalty terms - I believe the current situation offers them another opportunity to better their business position with IGXT.

Rather than walking away as you purport, the more rational / logical approach would be to gain more control of the situation. You sit down with Zerbe (assuming you don't buy him out) and tell him you want PAR people on the inside to help run things on the logistical side - and of course Zerbe will have to give up more on the royalty side for this additional investment PAR needs to make.

As the quote goes - 'It's not personal - it's business'. PAR didn't get to where they are by making irrational knee jerk decisions. I believe PAR will in some way take advantage of the current situation at IGXT to better their overall position in the relationship.
