Rory Monaghan's info from his website:

My name is Rory Monaghan, I currently work out of Phoenix, Arizona.

I can be contacted via e-mail: Rory@rorymon.com

I have been working in the application and desktop space since 2007. I worked as a lead on Windows 7 migration and virtualization projects. I started working with APP-V back when it was Softricity Softgrid, which as some would know meant there was very little information available online and so it meant troubleshooting issues for hours, days and in some cases weeks. Documentation was thin on the ground and the sequencer at the time was quite buggy, sometimes producing applications with incorrect information or missing information. So it was a manual task to go over and figure out what was missing, or trying to figure out if an application could actually work as a virtual application at all.

I have been quite lucky as over the years I got exposure to working for enterprises of varying sizes and in differing industries e.g. Banks, Publishing, Insurance etc. Each presenting with unique challenges and also with some cool technologies. I’ve used SCCM 2007 R2, SCCM 2012, SCVMM, RemoteApp, XenApp, XenDesktop, VMWare Workstation, VMWare ESX, Hyper-V, XenServer, APP-V, ThinApp, AppSense, AppDNA, Changebase, Admin Studio,Wise Package Studio, MED-V and more. I love learning, I try to keep up with all different technologies. To this point APP-V has been my area of expertise, I’ve found myself focusing a lot on it. I believe in it as a solution and find it’s progress exciting.

My goal of this blog is to make it as easy to read as possible. I’m sure I take a lot for granted and so some product knowledge would be required to understand my posts but I do make an effort to use plain English and keep things as straight forward as I can. I hope you enjoy my blog.

I should also state that this is my own personal blog. The opinions which I present here are entirely my own. I purposely do not mention my employers name and have no intention for my site to be in any way affiliated with my current employers.
