re event lines

I was refering to Saito et al Atherosclerosis 2008 The sub group with high TG's / low HDL

Event lines clearly diverged by almost 50% by year 3 , then converged some what at yr 3-4 and then diverged again by 53% by the end of the trial ( 4.5 yrs )

The fact that these event lines diverged , converged and then diverged again explains why I think Reduce IT will run longer then many think even if the data shows a 25% divergence in event lines in early 2015....they will want enough data to be highly confident, that what they are seeing will persist over time

Just my lay man take

The next question is estimating interim analysis date ...967 ? events and whether that would occur before yr end 2015 .
I'll have to reread JL's post 31195 again .
