Dave, even the cleanup up directions on the side of a latex can say clean with warm soap and water. Dried paint brushes can be cleaned with soap and water because I do it all the time. It doesn't take anything special to do this just like cleaning pipe dope from your hands. Plain dish soap cleans then just fine. I can use Lye to clean my windows too but plain ole Windex works just fine.
