Globalcoin(GLC) set to halve its subsidy today at 4:30 pm EST. This halving, which happens with Globalcoin every 4.36 months, will result in a drop from 108,000 GLC to 54,000 coming online daily.
Late 2014 the subsidy will be reduced to 27,000 daily and by the beginning of 2016 the subsidy will be a mere 3375 coins daily and continue to halve every 4.36 months.
As supply is reduced and the Altcoin markets continue to expand, there is a chance for price appreciation in my opinion. For example, Cryptsy.com, the US leader in the Altcoin space, has over 230,000 users, is fully licensed in the US, and has begun USD to a select few crypto-currencies.
