We live in a society that truly believes "it wont happen to me" no matter the circumstance be it a heart attack, cancer, car wreck, whatever. We also all know we are going to leave this world at some point in time we just seem to think that even with death we always have plenty of time left. However, we know from the obituaries thats not the case. As we know...people of all ages from infant to old die each and everyday. And a good many of them didnt expect it any time soon be it from accident or illness or even old age. I think of the 25 years from age 15 to age 40 when i did the best...well almost the best...job of trying to put myself in my grave from the lifestyle i lived. I very well could have been burning in hell right now for all eternity. That freaks me out! But, for some godly reason the good Lord let me live in my self inflected earthly hell until i saw the light and cried out to JESUS to forgive me and save me! The thing is...as i look back i know very well that i was approaching self destruction...death...and if i hadnt let Jesus into my life when i did and got straightened out...healed by Gods grace and mercy...i would surly have soon been dead! Thousands...millions...of people wait to long and death takes them away unsaved and into total separation from God and His love into the lake of fire in hell...for...FOREVER! How tragic knowing they are going to be in total torment for forever! Thank you Jesus for eternal life! Thank you Jesus for saving not only my soul but also my life! Now, it has been 19 years that i have been on the straight and narrow and i have the blessed assurance that if death takes me this very day....Praise God for the home He has prepared for me in heaven! Time is short...today could be the last day for any of us here on earth...where are you headed?
