They aren't true SHORT numbers, by that I mean the numbers reflected don't mean " an MM or a retail person was intentionally borrowing shares in hopes of buying them back lower" as is the case when a retailer or institution shorts a security in the traditional sense. Those numbers reflect a trade imbalance. Don't take my word, ask Janice. I know what you are seeing and saying, but they are only an imbalance in the books, and by that they are technically reflected , all be it temporary , as " short" . No one would should a pink for that small of an amount, the commissions and margin requirements would not be worth the effort.
