While I agree...there are some exceptions... there are some who want justice and can afford to pay the attorney's fees to see no one is duped any longer. As it is seemingly being made known it sure appears as though the CEO has made things very personal and has craxxed where he eats. He appears to have taken friends and hometown believers and that's pretty darn personal and close to home figuratively and literally. So some want to return the favor by trying to find some justice. This CEO made a great deal of money disappear without anything to show for it. When taking money today and NOT delivering on the "promise" doesn't just get chalked up to stupidity alone... there are always consequences to actions and stupidity/inept is only part of this story as many are bringing forward the rest of the story.

From the practicality of things you are 100% right though if there is nothing to monetarily to get why spend good money chasing bad? That's in reverse as well... Eric has no rebuttal....he has been caught at his game from all corners of No. America and now even in his own backyard. He tried blogging his way through and when the numbers never added up to his blog content the stories and every measure of his actions became known.
Eric took shareholders into his inner circle...used their time and trust and deceived them ...so he made things extremely personal and never underestimate those who have been deceived it has an element of strong emotion attached to it because he reached into a lot of pockets in his journey to raise money to sustain himself. Some want payback apart from money...some want what's right. Justice gets served on many levels..if he has a conscience (which I doubt personally he has) he has to look at himself in the mirror and look at this mess of a legacy he leaves behind. Not just the inability to mange a company and sell a product... he leaves a dirty trail of how and the manner in which he took and rcv'd his money. He dug his own foxhole... his own words have painted him into a very tight corner right now and he is now standing on one toe with a heavy paint can in his hand wondering what happens now....TIC TOC
