Well, the margins on the Cellular models is probably a lot higher. They charge $129 more for a chip and antenna. I don't know whether or not they get a cut from the carriers on those as well.

Google does the same thing with their models.

BTW, I would have been fine with a Nexus 7 with cellular too but there's a spat between Asus, Google and Verizon and getting it to work apparently is a big pain. Setting up Verizon cellular on the iPads is really easy.
