Mets players are not bad. I know everyone wants to kill the mets but they are a improving team I still believe they will make a run at 500 in the second half.
D'arnuad has figured it out. Mejia has been solid. Duda has done waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then I expected and you can certainly live with him at 1b.
And as I said I know it is early but the thing I like about degromm is even when he is in trouble, he bears down. That is a mental thing as much as stuff, I'm not saying he is going to get out of every jam in every tight game, but he seems to get better when facing difficult situations. And when you see that time and time again that is something between the ears on a pitchers, and a very good intangible quality to have. He may get bombed his next start with me giving him all this praise.
But he is only the 2nd mets rookie pitcher in history to go 7 inning and allow 1 run or less in 3 consecutive starts. I know he won't get consideration, but he really should, he has been as good as any rookie in my opinion.
