Amarin attempted to explain what happened... Re. The mineral oil concern. The info is in the transcript. And yes IF mineral oil does interfere somehow w/ the absorption of the statin... It is a major problem for the trial.

People would say if the placebo reduced the effect of the statin there would be more events in the control than otherwise.

All the above said... The is no evidence that light mineral oil interferes w statin absorption. Certainly Amarin is monitoring this issue closely.
