Odds or points line is always meant to draw even betting on both sides so that Vegas can make the juice. It is never intended to predict an outcome


Edit: People wrongly thought that Jimmy the Greek screwed up when he made the Colts 16 point favorites over the Jests in Super Bowl III . When in fact, he was right on because that line caused both sides to be even money wise
