It was good for POW!, not so good (short term) for Genius. Andy mentioned breakeven for the year for Genius. That wasn't what I wanted to hear (sort of, I want to buy more at low prices, so it is OK with me). I though they would book some solid profits by the end of their fiscal year. Their projections show most of their projects to be profitable. I guess starting up the Global Consumer Products division is going to cost money.
Otherwise, he mentioned they are still planning on a "Mighty 7" TV series. That is good news for us. It makes it far more likely that licensing money (branded products) will come in. It also may get the movies and TV series into a lot more countries (more money all around). Andy also mentioned Stan Lee Comic ("Mighty 7" is part of it), so it sounds like he may still be working on the other IP. There wasn't mention of any other Stan Lee Comics IP coming out in the next 12 months, though. It will still generate more excitement, if we get to see concept art, or trailers.
I had been worried about "Mighty 7" It hasn't been apparent that it has been broadcast in all the countries it is licensed for. No, branded merchandise is out (except for the HotTopic T-shirts). And, it is hard to tell how the DVD sales are going, it looks like Walmart has a long term exclusive (although it could be they paid for that).
But, as a POW! shareholder I was happy with it.
Andy did say they were coming out with more info in a day or so.
