Don't feel like you can't or shouldn't buy small amounts of shares. To many people think that way and that is a mistake, imo. My own personal experience with Apple over the last number of years.
I started buying 10 shares at a time and accumulated 55 shares pre-split. today, 385 shares .

Of course a small commission broker is order for this type of transaction.
