No absolutely not - he did not want to see Khosla go.

Plus there is no fat in this operation - including Khosla's compensation, it's insignificant within the context of the company valuation.

Still leaning towards some sort of personality conflict here - especially as it relates to PAR. Like it or not PAR is their savior because they don't have the capacity - either financially or managerially - to turn their technology into revenue on their own. PAR knows this as well and is going to start pushing back. This is exactly where the interaction between Khosla and PAR was taking place - could easily see Khosla getting frustrated that he had no leverage.
