PPJ Trial Update - Judgments on Motion in Limines / Reason for 8/12 Continuance

The trial was continued to August 12th because Judge White said so. Before that time, the attorneys are to get themselves together regarding the exhibits (ie: evidence) and witnesses to be presented. The attorneys must also prove the court with a joint statement of the case and joint jury instructions and verdict form.

There will be a sub-hearing on August 12th to determine if the testimony of Scott Mowery, PPJ's forensic accountant may be admitted for use in the trial. This would be why there are now three extra days added to the total length of the trial.

Because the first statement in the minute order states, "Matter is called for trial," I believe that the trial has now officially begun. If I understand what that means, there can now be no additional evidence brought into the trial.
