I think both of those organizations knew Fuse was more or less worthless when they made whatever deals they made with Fuse.
"Scams" are not illegal and money made through scams spends just like any other money. And people are greedy and like money. i don't think the athlete sponsors cared either way whether Fuse was legit or not, they just wanted their money.
When investing money you can't trust what people say, and people can say pretty much anything and claim ignorance if they are ever called on it. So, for instance, when Tuffin says sales of Energel are projected to be over $200M annually in five years, you have to completely ignore that because it means absolutely nothing.
