Over the last couple of years Natcore has established good relationships with several manufacturers of solar cells, panels and equipment. They are all interested in having access to our technologies as they come online and are looking for some type of exclusive relationship within their regions. We feel we can leverage these relationships to create “best of breed” manufacturing facilities since we have no bias as to where we would acquire the equipment to build these factories.

We have been approached by parties from several countries who are not yet in the solar business but have received mandates or funding from governments or private individuals to enter the business. This is reflected in what we are looking to do in Australia, as described in the following news release, which we sent to the press today.

By acting as a consultant in building these manufacturing facilities, not only would we receive revenue but, equally important, we are creating not just partners but customers.

Our scientific depth, especially with Daniele Margadonna and David Carlson, gives us significant amounts of hands on manufacturing experience. This augments our scientific team that continues to works on commercializing our technologies.

This in no way distracts from our successes with black silicon in China. We are still optimizing our manufacturing process and the work with Fraunhofer will start this month.

As usual, if you have any questions, comments or thoughts, I would be anxious to hear them.
