Any stock market astrology buffs out there? We all know about Merriman's site for astrological stock market analysis, but there are other systems as well. In Chinese astrology this is the year of the wood horse. It's incredibly complex, but what it means is that it's fantastic for the stock market.

This year is wood OVER fire (not under), and summer is fire. This could mean a very friable market this summer.

There are two cycles, the creation cycle, and the control, or destruction cycle.

The creation cycle is thus: water creates wood, wood creates fire, fire creates earth, and earth creates metal, which in turn creates water. You don't analyze it, you just accept it. Trust me, I've tried!

The control cycle is water controls fire, fire controls metal, metal controls wood, and wood controls earth. Earth controls water.

The best case for a correction would be in autumn, as autumn is metal, and in the control cycle as said previously, metal cuts wood.

There is another subtlety in this system in that earth is not just autumn, but the phase in which one season transitions to another.

This feng shui master, Raymond LO, discusses the current year, every year. He correctly predicted the crash in 2009 (although he uber-soft-pedaled it). Crashes tend to happen in years that have water in them (un-evolved water is fear). The next water year is in 2018!
