I must agree with you Q. I believe Tom has a process, and that they made one-off samples of the CIGS cell that tested well, but they were not made in his evaporator, but rather in a controlled laboratory setting. The purpose of the disposition machine was to mimic the laboratory process used in the manufacturing of individual CIGS cells (a novel approach to CIGS manufacturing and a pretty good idea). But XsunX's CIGS disposition machine never made a single cell, and it is highly doubtful that the prototype would work at all, and even if it did it would need much refinement before it would be ready to market.
My experience with new manufacturing processes says that it takes years to develop a viable product, especially when the manufacturing process itself is the product. But that doesn't mean that the development phase is without value. If the mechanism would really work, even in the prototype phase, the stock would be alluring to speculative investors. It appears to me that when Si prices fell Tom's primary investment and development partners pulled back leaving Tom without the cash flow to proceed with R&D.
When I'm feeling most cynical I start to wonder if the whole process wasn't slight of hand, the primary purpose of which was to separate fools like me from my money. At some point it would be nice to have some independent review of the real viability of the disposition mechanism in order to evaluate if Tom was really attempting to create a product or just scamming investors. But it falls under the category of "be careful what you wish for"......putting Tom under the pressure of a legal investigation would be bad for XsunX and for our holdings. I still say the only real hope for this company is for Tom to come up with another product to hype......the future of RE is energy storage and I'd sure like to see him jump into that market instead of this integration pipe-dream.
