After reviewing the 28-page continuance application, I am now of the opinion that a continuance would be justified. PPJE finally got Grewal's bank records (not from BOA) from 2006-2008 in May 2014. And which shows millions of dollars in deposits and appear to support the plantiff's claims. PPJE needs time perform discovery based on this new evidence.

Plus Grewal is playing hardball in providing access to one of his key employees (former PPJE employee).

There are a whole slew of reasons why it would have been beneficial for this trial to be delayed by a few months. I also think Basu should have hired a 2nd attorney as the 1st appears to not make this trial his priority.
