Big Tree Group is reaching new heights with its toy exporting business. After experiencing record growth last year, growth propelled by Shantou Big Tree Toys, the wholly-owned subsidiary which operates Big Tree’s toy exporting business, the company is anticipating continued sales growth in 2014 and, so far, that expectation is being met.
The company targeted export sales as a key area for future growth and has dedicated significant resources toward establishing the Big Tree Toys brand as a dependable source for quality toys. The company’s estimation is that the toy exporting business at Shantou Big Tree Toys accounted for approximately $15 million of total revenues in 2013, an increase of approximately 50% for that fiscal year. Such solid sales growth substantiates the success of the focus on export sales.
The robust revenue growth in 2013 and emphasis on tested quality and value pricing have also allowed the company to grow its international customer base, and it is seeing intensifying demand from toy markets around the world: North America, South America, the Mideast, Asia and Europe.
Big Tree Group is making waves in South America in particular. In June 2014, the company announced that it received purchase orders with an estimated value of $400,000 from the operator of a chain of retail stores in Costa Rica, stores that supply home goods, family products, and hardware to consumers. The purchase orders are for toy products, including play sets, dolls, electronic learning games and instruments. Big Tree Group views these orders as further proof that the company is moving in the right direction with its assertive value pricing and global market expansion efforts. The company expects to conclude the delivery of the toys early in the third quarter of 2014 and sees considerable opportunity to expand its relationship with this customer in the future.
Big Tree Group has built a strong foundation for growth through its emphasis on custom service and quality control systems and sourcing capabilities developed over the years. Laser focus on these areas has enhanced the company’s standing as a reliable “one stop shop” for commercial toy buyers across the globe. Management’s goal now is to continue building on the company’s reputation and position so it can prolong its strong financial performance for years to come.
