I have stated in the past that Mike failed in developing the Shouyang block. Maybe his intent all along was not to lead this to production fruition (at least in past two years).

It's quite possible, given the reserve reports from multiple independents, that he has succeeded enough in proving the viability of the block.

$200m is likely conservative even in a fire sale given the outlook for nat gas/unconventional gas in China.
