no problem with caution.

but solms doesn't do genius theory.

he's the demand side guy.

it is pretty much the normal way to produce stuff - find a problem someone has that needs solving. develop with/for them as a partner. use the announcement of a new product and a new customer to advertise to other customers.

the way wave did things previously was unusual. build without apparent reference to customers. make custom solutions at great expense. fail to build software that works off the shelf.

the way it was described at the SHM, the issue of wave's lack of traction is all too clear. the solution wasn't scaleable. the way it is described, the last guy was not competent.

but we will see how solms works here. so far, he has done things the way a good manager would. with a new product launch we are within the realm of his expertise. i think the likelihood of a high profile customer announcement is above 50%. but less than 75%. why so low? customer may not quite be ready.
