PGLO Begins Design Phase of Hydroponic Greenhouse Project in Northern India

Pan Global, focused on environmentally sustainable energy, infrastructure and technologies, has kicked-off the design phase of its development plan, which was produced by agricultural consultant Dr. Amanjit Singh Josan for the company’s first greenhouse facility in India.

As previously announced, Pan Global in March received a report and development strategy for its planned hydroponic greenhouse operation in Punjab, India. The project is intended to allow for sustainable production of vegetable crops, such as certain varieties of peppers, seedless cucumbers, tomatoes and commercial flower crops. Following discussions and collaboration with Dr. Josan, who has more than 20 years of experience in horticulture, floriculture, agriculture extension and greenhouse technology, Pan Global has commenced allocating resources to the facility’s design.

“The hydroponic greenhouse growing industry in India is at very early stage,” Pan Global stated in today’s news release. “We believe there is a unique opportunity within India’s large market for our planned greenhouse vegetable production … Our objectives are to produce products of higher quality, available on a more consistent production schedules and with favorable environmental impact, such as limited or no use of chemical fertilizer and up to 90% less use of water.”

Upon completion of the design phase and availability of financing, Pan Global said it will commence equipment procurement and the construction phase of the development plan. The company plans to sell its products to local chain food retails stores, high-end hotels and other potential customers.
