Here's something interesting from Isaac Montal, Managing Director and General Counsel for DTCC. Looks as if perhaps the brokerages weren't really forbidden from trading BCIT. It'd be interesting to know exactly how Montal's statement should be interpreted.

Neither a Deposit Chill nor a Global Lock prevents trading of an affected security.
