Warrel and Thottathil (the applicants) have also submitted a patent application No. 13/455,455 on April 25, 2012, published under US 2012/0220634 on Aug 30, 2012. This application was also submitted to the WIPO at April 12, 2013 to get a worldwide patent application, this time with Genta as assignee. It resulted in the publication of this application on October 31, 2013 under WO2013/162922, with Genta as assignee and to seek protection in IPC C07493/04 and C07D305/14 (Note, that these IPC's are different from the ones, for which GFV LLC, as representative for Tang Capital, were able to apply for a patent).
The trustees of Genta's assets, after it filled for chapter 7, are:

These two trustees seems to be the responsible actors behind the advanced continuation of the patent application process (filling for a worldwide application, filled 12. April 2013 under PTC/US2013/036392, published 31. October 2013 as WO2013/162922). Genta, or it's trustees, have sought worldwide protection of an essential part of Genta's assets.
