That was my point. Anyone with less than a five year time horizon to see how the Mexus story plays out is being myopic. Especially since Mexus hasn't even used a third of the time a typical project takes to advance and given we stand in the midst of cyclical decline... it seems it is a bit early to be counting us out.

All financial planners would steer away from this sector and these types of stocks, and they do so for good reason. It is a long and winding road before one tends to end up in this industry - let alone considering the the time to accumulate capital, a general market education, and then acquire the expertise to evaluate something like Mexus and then make an appropriate bet on top of that... In my opinion this is at a minimum a decade long process if not far longer. Regardless of whether Mexus melts up to a dollar over a small period of time or not, just like my million dollar a day friend, I would find that hard pressed to call that process "quick." It is more of an accumulative trend. You can call it overnight success or GRQ but I won't agree (aside from a mine time-line perspective). Only a small number of lucky gamblers will actually GRQ and thus preserve the legend for more gullible people to be suckered in the future.

Five years is nothing in the time scale of the universe.
Five years is quick for a gold mine.
Five years is also a significant portion of a human life span and your time to compound wealth. So you can't afford to get sloppy and make too many bad bets.

I personally view the short term as 1-3 years, 5 is a standard medium term outlook and 7-10+ is long term.

For most of the public short term is today, now, to next week, medium is few months out and long term is later this year or early next year.

Mining in general is a long term business but you have a mixture of long term, short, medium, super short term etc interests all competing and duking it out with each other and on top of it all they have different meanings for those words. Makes for interesting reading at any rate!
