Your thinking has some logic.

However, based on this filing he actually transferred the patent right to MYEC in 2008. See below)

From a shareholder-Point of view this is much better, as all fees would have to go into the Treasury of MYEC on one Hand and on the other Hand, based on a Profit model at a certain Point, a value could be attached to the IP.

You may remember, that Ed Starr's already protected the Company in a way, by issuing himself 1 Preferred Stock, which gives him the voting majority which of course makes sense as he would not like to risk somebody going after the Company, who based on the the Information below clearly shows MYECK as Assignee as of 2008.
