Mr. Adelson did enter the gambling business and is profitable big time . . . ironic? Lets see how he does trying his luck in Japan (where he wants a new casino built).

Casinos make a profit ($Billions) off gamblers.
Problem is, gamblers are shifting to mobile devices (cellphones, tablets, laptops) and still doing desktop computer gambling. No one has yet figured how to get casinos profitable, with stay-at-home gamblers, and mobile device user gamblers.

State governments, in time, will work into taking more and more tax-revenue off registered and legal online and mobile gamblers. Amazon has no need to know your SS # for you to buy from them, they just want your verified credit card data. You do not have to be age 18 to buy a pop or candy bar . . . or a DVD or VG game (violent content) at a store and online. Doubtful Adelson and his alliance can stop full congress, etc. and state governments from milking his cows that have free range rights? Times are hard and new tax sources needed asap. If you can pay for online movies and cable and satellite TV and shopping online . . . why not to be able to pay to gamble online? Will the 'cloud' rule?

States will move increasingly to secure restrictions on gambler ages, monthly amounts, and income sources of individual's gambling.
As well as mandatory online real time photo ID, and pyscho anti-addiction sessions.

User data is lacking for projecting correctly who will online gamble, how much. Time is in favor of new demographic gambling trends, as well as costs to prepare and travel to physical casinos. Casinos may end up having to buy up and built their gambling revenues; through owning coffee shop, quick stop and WIFI mobile and at home customers servicing?
Large static casinos business scenario could go the way of the railroad stations, that once were focal point of commerce.
