• CEO Brian Weber, politics mixing it up again.
History repeating itself? courtesy of KU Sponsored JoCobb who publically announced support for Robby Wells.
(how much shareholder cash is going into Robby Wells pockets?)

Howard Dean, Nascar Make Odd Bedfellows
February 6, 2004

...Brian Weber is happy to do his part.

Struggling to find a sponsor for this year's racing, Weber was approached by "an acquaintance" who suggested backing Dean's campaign. Thus was born Team Dean Racing.

Weber, who lives in North Carolina but retains a New York accent from his childhood, would not identify who is providing the money for this year's sponsorship but said he is convinced that Dean is the right man to run the nation.

Sadly, Weber's asphalt campaign may be long on idealism but short on gas.

For starters, unless Weber's car is faster than last year's entry, he may not even get into the Hershey's race. Weber started in only five of 34 Busch Series races last year and was ranked 116th out of 156 drivers.

Making matters even bleaker, Dean on Thursday issued an ultimatum: He needs to win the Wisconsin primary on Feb. 17 if he is to stay in the Democratic race.

If Dean loses, Weber will find himself shopping for a new sponsor.
