I have thought that for mining area's of the moon...your claim is limited only by your ability to get there and proceed to mine. There should be NO 'ownership' of lunar-acreage... I think that there should be some sort of 'Buffer-Zone' allowed around a mining-claim. This would be to prevent another party from interfering with a developed area in the process of utilizing resources, but perhaps these things should be worked out now.
Many have said lunar mining is 'Pie in the sky' or at the very least 10-20 or more years away. I doubt it will take that long.
...I'd say in 5 years or less.
