NEWS: HHSE Launches Medallion With Acquisition "Black-Eyed Dog"

Hannover House Launches Medallion International at Cannes, with Worldwide Rights Acquisition of "Black-Eyed Dog"

CANNES, FRANCE / ACCESSWIRE / May 14, 2014 / Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE), has officially launched its new international sales and financing company, Medallion International Pictures, at the Cannes Film Festival and Marche du Film today, and has announced the acquisition of worldwide distribution rights to director Erica Dunton's youth-thriller, "Black-Eyed Dog." Other Medallion titles on display at the festival include the upcoming productions of "Mother Goose: Journey to Utopia" and "The Legend of Belle Starr."

"Black-Eyed Dog" is the next film from director Erica Dunton following her Sundance Film Festival Audience Award for "To.Get.Her". This 2014 production presents a coming of age story of four young friends as they struggle with life and death circumstances affecting one of their parents. The cast includes Hilarie Burton ("The Secret Life of Bees"), Paul Schneider ("Parks and Recreation") and Joshua Leonard ("Blair Witch Project"), with outstanding performances delivered by the youth cast of MacKenzie Foy ("Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn"), Chandler Canterbury ("The Host") and Johnny Sequoyah ("Believe"). Several of the film's producers also possess impressive credits, including Heather Rae ("Frozen River", "Windwalkers"), Stephanie Caleb ("Getaway", "Cake") and Spencer Silna ("Lone Survivor", "The Grey", "Killing Them Softly"). Lead star Mackenzie Foy is also starring in director Christopher Nolan's epic "Interstellar" which opens worldwide this November from Paramount Pictures.

The film is described as having a similar theme and concept to "Stand By Me" and "To Kill A Mockingbird." Other credited producers and executive producers include Betsy Davis, Tomy Drissi, Erica Dunton's, Eric Parkinson, Kevin Lee Allen and Richard Bach.

In addition to selling international rights through Medallion, Hannover House will be releasing "Black-Eyed Dog" to theatres in the U.S. beginning September 26. The initial release in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago will be designed to meet qualifying criteria for the Academy Awards and Golden Globes; the film will be expanded to additional key theatrical markets nationwide prior to its December, 2014 home video and video-on-demand launch in the USA and Canadian markets.

Financing for the acquisition and release of "Black-Eyed Dog" - as well as the financing for the company's market presence at Cannes - has been provided through private, New York based investors for Hannover House. These, and other private investors, will be providing financing for additional Hannover House acquisitions and P&A costs throughout 2014 and 2015.

"We are very excited to be launching Medallion at the Cannes market," said Hannover House President Fred Shefte. "With two major productions on offer for presale, and one completed movie ready for delivery, we can quickly build momentum as a respected, new supplier to the international markets."

Hannover House and Medallion International Pictures can be located at Cannes in the Palais Riviera, G-23, with Odyssey Pictures Corp.
