The Scores Atlantic City complex just got a lot sexier … and more theatrical, too.

The adult playground inside Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort recently unveiled its gorgeous Blue Velvet Theater with its first show: The Real Men of Scores, an “ab-licious” male revue that is offered Friday and Saturday nights.

But that’s not all.

In May, “The Curious Show,” a cirque-fueled variety show will debut, proving that Scores can offer something for everyone.

The Blue Velvet was initially scheduled to open last year, but construction issued delayed the opening. Managing Member Bob Gans says the wait will be worth it.

“Like the rest of Scores, we created a very unique room with the Blue Velvet Theater,” Gans says. “It has a sculptured ceiling that came in from Europe, and it took an inordinate amount of time to create it. It’s reflective, but it has a certain pattern to it. It’s gorgeous.”

The room, which of course features a very rich blue color scheme, seats about 130 people, a main stage backed by a giant LED screen and two smaller ones, a circular stage with a pole in the middle of the room and a large semi-circular bar.

“We wanted to provide an entertainment venue, which is something we always talked about,” Gans says. “We believe at some point we will offer bands, comedians, singers and more.”

“The Curious Show” will be produced by Allen Valentine, a casino veteran who produces Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s acclaimed “Burlesque Show” as well as last year’s cirque show at Revel Casino Hotel’s The Social.

The 60-minute show, priced at $40, will offer thrills and amazing individual and group acts including aerialists, jugglers, comedians, contortionists, dancers and more when it is offered 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays.

Although guests must be 21 years old to attend, Gans says the show will not be too sexy.

“It’s not for kids, but certainly not over-the-top risque,” Gans says. “We want everyone to be able to come in and enjoy it.”.”

Tickets for “The Curious Show” can be obtained by calling 609-487-4230 or go to

The Real Men of Scores, which will be offered 10 p.m. Fridays and 8 and 10 p.m. Saturdays, will be a multimedia experience that takes advantage of the LED screens as the video backgrounds will match costumed performers.

But like the entire Scores experience, it will be luxurious and comfortable. Don’t expect to be sitting in folding chairs watching a show like you may have done at other male revues. The Blue Velvet features plush barrel-shaped chairs on the main floor, as well as two levels of banquette seating.

“You know how we operate … we are interested in luxury and comfort and entertainment and satisfaction,” Gans says. “We are not about cramming as many people into a room as possible.”

Gans promises the chiseled Men of Scores will be different from other experiences with sharp choreography, great costumes, music that spans decades through a state-of-the-art sound system and bottle service.

“There are as many, if not more, bachelorette parties in the city as there are bachelor parties, and this will be the place for them to come,” Gans says. “It will be a first-class production with great direction, choreography, costumes and more.”

The 90-minute show, priced at $60, includes two drinks including wine, champagne and Scores’ frozen MANgaritas such as The Real MANgarita.

The Blue Velvet will keep the party going after the show as it will transform into a nightlife hot spot just for the ladies beginning midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Ladies can dance to top hits or receive personal lap dances from the Real Men of Scores. Admission to the club after midnight is $15 per person online, $20 at the door.

Scores also put together packages that include the After-Party ($75) with general admission to the show, two drinks and the Blue velvet afterparty; Showgirl ($100) with admission to show, afterparty, two drinks, hot seat and a digital photo with the Real Men; Princess ($100) with admission to show, two drink plus a glass of champagne, hair and makup session with Scores’ beauticians; Stripper for a Day ($120) with admission to show, two drinks plus glass of champagne, pole dancing class with certificate of completion; Royal ($150) admission to show, two drinks, afterparty, prix-fixe dinner at Robert’s Steakhouse; and Beauty School ($200) admission to show, two drinks plus champagne, 90-minute Makeup 101 class.
