This is their statement that leads me to believe they are focused on developing the technology and licensing it to companies that are large players in the respective field rather than just accepting a buyout offer:

"EPGL currently has over 15 new advanced technologies and corporations in the medical device and consumer electronics fields have sought to enter relationship with the company. Because of this development, EPGL intends to expand upon and focus on this business model going forward."

This would also explain the significance of and emphasis they have repeatedly stated of Topspin.
