Sorry Postyle it is a catalyst to some investors. A lot of investors trade on news and events. The decision will certainly be a more powerful catalyst but the hearing and probably the 2 or 3 seeking alpha articles that will come out after the hearing will also have some catalytic effect.

I have also posted that negative "patent troll" legislation will also be catalytic to VRNG even though the legislation will really have no effect on VRNG.

Shorts will emphasize the negative, longs will emphasize the positive and somewhere in the middle is the market.
