The problem with ignoring the share price and only focusing on the business is that the share price suffers due to a lack of communication and more shares are diluted at lower prices, thus blowing the share structure out of whack. CEO's of publically traded companies should always focus on the share price for this very reason. Wouldnt it be advantageous to dilute at higher prices so you dont wreck the share structure and wipe out shareholders. This CEO clearly doesnt get it. Either that or he doesnt care about his shareholders.
