Researchers identify how the immune system distinguishes viral from endogenous RNAs

http://medicalxpress.com/news/2014-04-immune-distinguishes-viral-endogenous-rnas.html

I have been taking Anatabloc for 17 months now. I have found that if I feel like I am getting a cold or bronchial infection if I increase my dosage of Anatabloc the symptoms go away. This experience has always been puzzling to me. My confusion was if I am infected don’t I want my body to repel the infection and if Anatabloc down regulates inflammation how can this be good when my body needs to fight inflammation,

As I study the science of inflammation I realize how complex the human body is and how the logical answer can be the naive answer.

Here is what I now understand which I admit is a very small part of aver complex question and I may not have all my facts correct.

The body has different types of cell receptors. A cell receptor according to Wikipedia is a protein molecule usually found inside or on the surface of a cell that receives chemical signals from outside the cell.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Receptor_(biochemistry)

Dr. Mullan has told us one of the was Anatabine works is Anatabine bonds to the a7-nAchr receptor in a manner that mimics acetylcholine .

The above referenced article titled (Researchers identify how the immune system distinguishes viral from endogenous RNAs) tells us cells possess defense systems that are activated by specialized sensors that can distinguish viral RNAs from host RNAs. These proteins, three of which belong to the family of RIG-I like receptors (or RLRs), recognize and bind specifically to foreign RNAs. This in turn alerts the innate immune system, which proceeds to destroy the foreign RNAs, thus preventing the production of new virus particles.

I hope there is someone out there who understands the science and will respond to my conclusions

Conclusion

Anatabine and Viruses appear to bond to a different sets of receptors. This allows the body to fight a virus and at the same time down regulate an overactive response.
