ONCS I would use Occam's razor on the shorting matter:

A scientific and philosophic rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantities

So it is because they can, whilst making a lot of money doing it, not because there is anything wrong with ONCS as a Company. $1+ soon and up-list they don't have much time left for their manipulation.
