The Mayor likely has no idea who E-Waste even is; it was a staged publicity stunt for the Mayor.

"Go here Mr. Mayor, uhm recycling plant...blah blah blah...voters like to recycle, right?"

I going to guess I am spot on as usual in my thought process. I bet the Mayor doesn't even remember the event! LOL! From what I saw on the ground, it was very forgettable
