Pfizer Mulls $100 Billion Takeover Bid for AstraZeneca - Report

Pfizer has approached AstraZeneca(AZN) to propose a 60 billion-pound ($101 billion) takeover, Britain'sSunday Times reported, according to Reuters. The newspaper cited senior investment bankers and industry sources saying that informal conversations about a deal had taken place but no talks were currently under way after AstraZeneca(AZN) resisted the approach. Pfizer and AstraZeneca(AZN) both declined to comment on the report to Reuters.
