In short, BAX was HALO's first partnership with a Big Pharma. I'm fairly sure the deal was struck before R. Kirk came on board as the major investor and strategic guru. It was announced in the middle of 2006. After a lot of empty b/s BAX eventually defaulted on a great part of the original deal to the point that HALO was able to reclaim the rights to Hylenex a few years ago. Still waiting for the rest of it (HyQ) to bear fruit. Not holding my breath, but we may start to see some income from it.
