It started when Shajandr posted the DD on the motherboard of the Madcatz Mojo. It turned out to be nearly identical to the NP-1 motherboard pic posted on facebook. Small differences of course. But this was explained away through different vendors etc.
So the question we are trying to resolve is: Why are they nearly the same. Here are the possible solutions that have been highlighted today:
1) A masterboard from Nvidia was sent to both companies
2) Madcatz is an OEM for Nanotech
3) Nanotech is an OEM for Madcatz
4) Nanotech is copy-catting old demos from Madcatz and forging FCC labels
There are other theories. You can pick your own and make a decision. But until the companies (both of which I Have queried personally) come clean, we WILL NOT know what is going on here.
Also: Other interesting facts. Both have the same FCC test report IDs except for the last 4 alphanumeric digits.
To the company: We wouldn't be theorizing like this if the NP-1s were actually on our doorsteps. (annoyance off)
