MD,
Thanks for getting back to us on this. I look forward to hearing the more subtle information that you may have gleaned from the talk, if there was any.

This whole issue of transparency with the status of PR3D and the quality of its functionality with GE's work is not going to resolve itself soon. We all have to keep in mind that GE is playing for keeps here. GE is not some savior of AM for the globe; who will be happy to reveal the technology that will enable success and profit to the competition of the world. GE is looking to slam dunk the competition in the aero engine world. They are very serious about keeping things under wrap and to themselves for as long as they possibly can. They signed a joint development agreement with SGLB to keep SGLB and the tech close and as under control as they could.

It would not surprise me at all if we come to find out in the end that the PR3D package that SGLB sells to the rest of the world is different from that which is sold to GE. In fact, it is so key to the AM manufacturing of high integrity parts, that I seriously doubt that, in the end, GE will let SGLB go. I think that there is a serious possibility that GE will buy either the company, the B6 division, or the rights to the tech, regardless of the issue of the connection to Los Alamos.

The next 18 months are going to be interesting.

All the best,
Silversmith
