OT: Great read! What I find a little unsettling is the fact people are balking at the price Gilead charges. This is not for the treatment of a disease but a CURE. Think of what would happen to treatment options if a cure was to be discovered for cancer? The cost would be very high and subsequent expensive treatment options available now would be more affordable. However, I'm sure the price of the therapy option to cure cancer would be so astronomical it too would come under scrutiny by the majority of the public. This situation with Gilead really makes me wonder if certain cures have been kept from the public due to company's knowing the "price of the cure"would be something the general public would not be able to fully understand or digest.
