While think some shares motivate management, do I think management should get an ever increasing portion of the company just due to their gross incompetence to generate positive cash flows enough to pay themselves?

Hell NO!!! Be careful that past a certain stage, the pure volume of shares that end up in their hands at this miniscule price point gives an advantage that does not align management's goals to shareholders anymore. While most shareholders bought in at a much higher price point, management got them at a much lower price point. Think about that for a minute!

Their interests may no longer be aligned with shareholders past a certain volume of cheap shares. Further if this bleed of shares to management is not stopped, the proportion of shares held by management will be an issue.
