It would be interesting to have an answer. How did the old GTEK shareholders get those shares? I'm assuming the company didn't send them certs, but simply DWAC'd them into the shareholders' accounts.
No matter how it was done, either the shares bore a restrictive legend or not. If they did, their brokers wouldn't have allowed them to sell. So I'm guessing they were issued as free trading stock.
And that does indeed open a can of worms.
