"Well what do you know, according to the Zicam web site, it does contain the active ingredients 'Zincum aceticum' and 'Zincum gluconicum'. Not quite a placebo or plain water as you would have people believe.

Oh, and by the way, have you noticed that for a homeopathic product, it sells rather well too ?"

I have never ever claimed that Zicam was either a placebo or a homeopathic "medicine" as the record will show. This is because as I have pointed out not only was the original Zicam product not homeopathic, it contained levels of zinc that were toxic:

"On June 16, 2009, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned consumers to stop using and discard three zinc-containing Zicam intranasal products. The products may cause a loss of sense of smell.

Intranasal products are administered through the nose."

Back to the point in hand, which is that Emesyl is claimed to be a homeopathic product and therefore will contain plain water and nothing else. Please don't confuse allopathic drugs like the original zinc containing Zicam formulations and homeopathic "medicines" such as Emesyl is claimed to be (it will never be launched, of course, but that's a different story).
