BE, good points. It certainly seems like OEMs in displays are moving slower on QD tech than we might have thought from industry articles. As for the other industries, it is tough to tell who is at what stage since no products have been introduced yet.

One comment on the following point you made.

Sure, QMC has lower overhead than the others, and burns cash more slowly, but at the end of the day, if revenues aren't available (to anyone), it's a problem for all. Sort of like the opposite of "a rising tide lifts all ships."

While what you stated is true, one key thing you may not be thinking of is what type of revenues are or are not available. Nanoco has lived for several years off the revenues from JDA's. Those are now drying up as they await orders to support products that would bring them royalties. I believe QDV and Nanosys both had some development work as well as cash from government grants in previous years.

QMC, on the other hand, is at the stage of pursuing JDA's or BDA's, which would provide milestone payment revenues, that combined with low overhead, could help QMC survive the longer timetable better than the others. The government grant application with LANL is another avenue to get some cash coming in. Not my favorite scenario as a shareholder, but better than many alternatives. Obviously, royalties from actual OEM products are the preferred alternative, and as soon as possible.

One question might be why OEMs would sign JDA's with QMC when they are not doing it with others (or continuing new ones with them)? A couple reasons that come to mind is that our TQD's and flow process provide technical and price advantages as well as more scalability that they may want to pursue. Also, with our overhead being lower, the JDA costs could themselves could be more economical.
