You do realize the definition of shorting (short selling) is completely different than to be short term on a stock, right? I just want to be clear because I will never short sell a stock and wouldn't want others to think that.

What I'm proposing to do is bet on historical results of this stock running up prior to earnings and taking a small profit from it. Even if it goes up more after, profit is profit and you won't hear any complaints from me. Again, I don't feel that this is the quarter that will be the pivot point in pps.
